A place to play and learn

Sudoku-Y, also known as Sudokuy, is the Sudoku website at sudokuy.com. It began with a simple goal: play Sudoku without keeping a separate sheet of paper. We want players to understand placements and candidate eliminations while enjoying puzzles at their own pace.

Choose your puzzle

The game opens in Classic 9×9. The variant and size picker offers Classic and Killer in 4×4, 6×6, 9×9 and 16×16. Classic 9×9 includes notes, what-if cases and a technique finder with explanations on the board. Other variants offer single-candidate hints, cage remainders and clearly labeled answer reveals.

Learning material with references

Our library combines research from several sources with original teaching examples and reference links. AI assists development and writing. Our editorial process explains the checks and their limitations. Please report incorrect reasoning or unclear explanations so we can improve them.

The owner of Sudoku-Y maintains this website and can be reached at phob99@gmail.com. Advertising is being prepared to help cover operating costs. A publisher ID does not establish Google approval. Sudoku-Y is not presented as a website operated by Google, Sudoku.com or SudokuWiki.
